Subsequently created filters can replace an existing filter or be additive. Additive filters append to existing filters. For the purposes of this tutorial, we will say that we only want to see the sales information for specific products sold to the previously selected companies. Once again, pay particular attention to the number of records displayed at bottom left corner of the grid panel.

- Move the mouse over the ProductName header to reveal the small drop-down arrow at the very right end of the field.
- Click on the drop-down arrow to display a list of all products in the database.
- Remove the checkmark from the All box at the top of the list and select the following products:

- Boston Crab Meat
- Chef Anton's Cajun Seasoning
- Chef Anton's Gumbo Mix
- Filo Mix
- Grandma's Boysenberry Spread
- Jack's New England Clam Chowder

- Select the Filter button to add the visual filter to the existing filter.
NOTE: Notice the number of records displayed has, again, significantly decreased.
- Expand Salesperson: Andrew Fuller and scroll down to briefly view the various line items (sales). The number of records (sales) has been significantly reduced, based on the criteria of the combined visual filters.
- Collapse the Salesperson: Andrew Fuller group.
TIP: To show the active filter select the Layout Options button

and select Show Filter. To hide the active filter select the Layout Options button

and select Hide Filter.
