Faceforward is a powerful software tool for data mining, consolidating, and manipulating. In addition, end-users create unique data views and reports, specifically tailored to individual, departmental or corporate-wide needs. Faceforward can draw information from most any data source and display it in a dynamic reporting form.

Faceforward is not a spreadsheet at all. It is a highly dynamic user-friendly reporting program. Unlike most reporting programs, Faceforward allows the end-user to arrange and manipulate the data of a linked source with simple drag-and-drop procedures. In this way, end-users are empowered to create their own reports whenever they need, and in a layout that best suits their needs.

Faceforward is able to draw from literally any relational data source. In order to communicate with any the data source, Faceforward simply requires driver or client software to access the data source such as Oracle's ODBC driver or IBM's Client Access.

The number of simultaneous data sources that Faceforward can draw from is limited only by the hardware resources of the PC or Server on which it is installed.

In Faceforward, a data source is simply a query against an information source. For example: a single spreadsheet file is considered one data source - even if it contains multiple sheets. In contrast, Sales Order/Entry Data, Inventory Data and Transportation Data would be considered separate data sources - even though they may reside on the same database.

Yes. The number of simultaneously opened views is limited only by the resources of the PC or server on which Faceforward is installed.

Faceforward makes no distinction between a report designer and report consumer. One of the guiding principles in creating Faceforward was to create an engine for reporting that scales in usability from basic to advanced users.

Yes. The E3 tool allows users to create fields. The newly created data field can be configured to display plain text, expression results, and conditional highlighting. Additionally, user-created data fields can even be used to create new data fields.

E3 stands for Endless Expression Engine. The E3 technology is exclusive to Faceforward. It is a very powerful tool, which allows the user to create personalized filters, styles, and fields. Additionally, the expression builder empowers the user to create additional data based on the existing data.

Yes. This is really the main idea behind Faceforward; empowering the typical end-user. Users can easily modify existing built-in views to create a personalized report that best fits their individual needs. When a user first saves a modified view, a subcategory appears under the respective built-in view, called My Views.

No. Faceforward is a viewing engine, which presents data to the user in read-only mode. That is, nothing is written back to the original data source.

Yes. Faceforward has a Sharing feature which allows users to easily share their saved views in their My Views folder.

Users can share the views they have created with any and all users who have been granted security permissions to the originating data.
